Lake District landscape photography is my way of capturing the places and changing moods that make this part of the country so special to me.
From the quiet shores of Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater, to the dramatic landscapes of the Derwent Valley and Bassenthwaite, I’m drawn to the character of the Lake District in all its changing conditions. Mist-covered fells, still reflections, dramatic skies and soft evening light can transform a familiar landscape into something completely different.
My photography focuses on capturing these moments as naturally as possible — from well-known Lake District views to quieter corners of Cumbria that are easy to overlook. For me, landscape photography is less about simply photographing a beautiful view and more about conveying the atmosphere, light and sense of place that make the Lake District so unique.
